A Funny, Romantic, and Thrilling Ride

The Bounty Hunter has all the elements you can ask for in a good movie - an interesting, thrilling, funny, and romantic story; good acting; beautiful visuals; and great on-screen chemistry between the lead actors. This film is not only a romantic comedy but also a murder mystery and an action-packed thriller.

After watching The Ugly Truth and A Law Abiding Citizen, I became a Gerard Butler fan. He is not only good looking and handsome but also a really talented actor. Even though his character in this movie is somewhat similar to The Ugly Truth, I still enjoyed watching him and I think he did a great job. I am a loyal fan of Jen Aniston and she did not disappoint me.

I think this is a very well-made movie by Director Andrew Tennant, who gave us great romantic comedies like Hitch and Fools Rush In (one of my all-time favorite movies). The locations were beautiful. It made me want to visit Atlantic City again. I think all rom-com lovers will enjoy this movie as much as I did.

A Story That Had to be Told

Sexual and physical abuse maybe a taboo topic but it is prevalent in our society and many
young girls can relate to it. Therefore, the story of Precious had to be told. And I am glad that
Sapphire wrote it in the form of the novel, Push, and Director Lee Daniels adapted the novel
into the movie, Precious. This Oscar-nominated movie had a very strong message, a
message of hope, hope for young girls who are sexually molested by their fathers or
physically abused by their parents. I think many young girls and boys will be able to relate to
this movie at some level. Abuse doesn't have to be physical or sexual, abuse can also be
mental and emotional. In our competitive society with so many pressures, there are many
young boys and girls who are made to feel worthless or self-conscious if not by their parents,
by their peers or by the general public, whether it be because of their height, weight or
because they are different in some way. This movie is for all those boys and girls.

I appreciated the message of the movie. However, the editing of the film was choppy. The
scenes didn't transition smoothly from one to the next.

Monique did an excellent job as the abusive mother and her Oscar was truly well-deserved.
She was truly the highlight of the movie because she looked completely different than ever
portrayed before. I appreciate that she took on this role, even though it was risky, and
brought the character of Mary, Precious's mother, to life on the big screen. In most scenes,
Gabourey Sidibe, who portrayed the role of Precious, was expressionless - I'm not sure if it
was deliberate but therefore, I felt Monique's performance was much stronger than hers. The
biggest surprise of all was Mariah Carey in the role of the social worker, Miss Weiss. She
also looked completely different. However, she was also mostly expressionless; therefore,
she needs to brush up her acting skills a bit. Paula Patton was also good as Miss Blu Rain,
Precious's teacher, who turned out to be her guardian angel.

Even though the execution of the film appears to be sloppy, I highly recommend this film
as it portrays a very strong social message, which needs to be reached to everyone,
irrespective of age, race, and culture.

Highly Recommended

Remember Me is a must-watch! It was much better than I expected. It is through this movie that Robert Pattinson proves that he can truly act! The Twilight Saga does not provide him enough opportunity to show the audience his potential because the character of a vampire does not give enough him range. But the role of Tyler Hawkins in Remember Me gives him the opportunity to truly show his range of acting skills. He plays the role an angry son, a caring brother, and a loving boyfriend in this film. He is indeed the highlight of the movie!

Even though the film was somewhat dark and deep, it was very real and relatable. Even though it was almost two hours long, it was perfectly paced and didn't drag at all. The editing was really good and each part of the storyline was shown with a perfect balance and in harmony with the story. Even though I had a gut feeling about the ending, I didn't quite expect the way it happened. I think the ending was very well-portrayed. The screenplay by Will Fetters was excellent. Kudos to all the actors for their good performances and to director, Allen Coulter, for making such an amazing movie.

Watch the trailer below to find out what the story is. However, there is much more to the story than just what is portrayed in the trailer. The story is not only about two lovers, who find happiness in each other because they have some things in common due to the life events they have had to face. It is also the story about two families and how they deal with the harsh realities of life that they have to endure. I highly recommend it not only for Robert Pattinson fans but for everyone - go watch it NOW!

High Expectations Leads to Disappointment

I had really high expectations from Alice In Wonderland, it being a Tim Burton and Johnny Depp film, but I was disappointed. Both Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen were excellent and enjoyable to watch. But other than that, I didn't enjoy this movie as much I had hoped to. The story didn't seem as interesting as I had hoped it would be. I think kids might enjoy it more than adults. The special effects were not anything out of the ordinary either.

This film is definitely not worth watching in 3D and wasting $14 on. Either wait for it to come on DVD, watch a matinee show or the regular viewing.

Low Expectations = A Pleasant Surprise

I liked Percy Jackson & the Olympians - The Lightning Thief (what a mouthful!) because it had good special effects, good acting, and an interesting story. It was like National Treasure meets Harry Potter. I think no matter what age, if you were a fan of these two movies, you will enjoy Percy Jackson. Even though Percy Jackson might remind you of these two movies, it is no way "inspired" from them, it still feels original. Kudos to the screenplay writer, Craig Titley for a good adapted screenplay and director, Chris Columbus, for a making an enjoyable movie for all ages. I think Logan Lerman deserves a special mention because he is not only cute but also acts well. So good job, Logan! This film proves that sometimes if you have low expectations, it can lead to you being pleasantly surprised.

This movie is based on the first book, The Lightning Thief, in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians 5-books' series based on Greek mythology by Rick Riordan. Wondering what the story is? Watch the trailer!
