Better than the Original

A Nightmare on Elm Street, a remake of the 1984 horror flick with the same name, brings Freddy Krueger back to the big screen. Having watched the 1984 horror flick, I must say that the 2010 version of this movie is much better. The main characters remain the same, some of the scenes were the same, and the main plot remained the same. The plot revolves around four high school friends, who have nightmares about this burnt guy named Freddy Krueger, who wants to kill them in their sleep. However, the reason he is after these four kids is different in the remake and is much more believable. The special effects in the remake are also much better as expected.

Overall, I liked the remake because it was jumpier, hence scarier, more plausible, and had much better acting than the original. I recommend it to those who like horror flicks. Whether you have seen the original or not, I think you will still enjoy the movie. Can't wait to see the sequel!
